Inno problem updating
The problem is that it's closing programs without warning me about it.
And actually this problem kinda to do with Chrome too because Firefox and IE don't use this dll when it is not required, why Chrome doing this I don't even know. You can use another one, just make sure to use a fully qualified path to it.This is how it should look after an icon is set to be used by the compiler: [Setup] App Name=Freemake Video Converter App Version=4.0.2 Default Dir Name=\Freemake Default Group Name=Freemake Uninstall Display Icon=\Freemake Video Converter\Uninstall\; Using an icon for the setup file Setup Icon File=\Freemake Video Converter\Uninstall\Uninstall Files Dir=\Freemake Video Converter\Uninstall Output Base Filename=Freemake Video Converter 188.8.131.52 Compression=lzma2 Disable Program Group Page=yes Wizard Image File=embedded\Wizard Wizard Small Image File=embedded\Wizard Small You can read how to modify other things and learn about variables here. This particular application uses a variable to set its interface language. As I want it to be shown in Spanish regardless of the language of the computer is it being installed on, I will edit the section. After poking around in the Windows registry, I found that Freemake uses en-US, es-ES and strings like this to set its language.
If you don’t modify this entry in the file, you will need to make a script to set it, which is something I will not cover here, or you will see an error while compiling because a script is needed. Many installers show checkboxes to perform different actions like running the installed application, placing a desktop shortcut etc.It also said restarting programs but Chrome never did, I had to manually open it again -_- Disabling silent is not a solution.Because people lazy to update and even now keep telling updating is long process when it is fully automated with single click and decide to not update.as you currently do, will cause a prompt to appear that asks the user if he really wants to close the programs that have a handle on your files, which is in my opinion, a better way to go at it. topic=setup_closeapplications Also you can restart the applications that had to be closed with Skip Page Anyway, adding Restart Applications might be a good idea even if you go against trying something to combat the force close issue.Yeah my Chrone randomly closed too, completely cut off my music and then messed up my Spotify playlist as it always does when chrome is restarted. As it stands, I consider it malicious and won't be installing the updates for as long as the old version keeps working.
